These 8″ cabs have multi-layer birch plywood enclosures too with that accurate, non-vibratory low frequency response that comes from such a high quality material with the cabs built in such a superb manner.
In our opinion, plywood still shines in an acoustic format over other more easily moulded materials more often used by our competitors these days purely to build in bulk.
We’re told that our competitors now employ enthusiastic (generally non-technical) marketing departments who will tell you otherwise.
Back to the cabinets.
The G8P powered top cabinet operates in two-way mode through its Powersoft module.
It has four presets including P1 – near flat; P2 – slight mid dip; P3 – high pass for use with bass cabs; P4 – a Party Mode for use without bass cabs for smaller events where excellent full range performance is required.
The G12XL is a super compact bass cab using a rubber roll surround, neodymium magnet bass driver featuring a 4″ voice coil.
A powersoft module drives the 12″ to optimum effect to offer a -3dB point of 39Hz.
In cost saving mode a 12″ G12XL3 bass unit will house the 3-way module to drive itself and a G8L top cabinet.
Ideal if you’ll never use the 8″ tops on their own but, an £850.00 saving over the system where all boxes have modules on board.
